Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Future Think LLC(“we”) handles information in connection with regretlater.com (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What We Collect
- The idea you submit. The text you type is sent to our AI provider to generate a response and is stored briefly for abuse prevention.
- A session identifier. A random ID stored in your browser’s local storage to track free usage and unlocked purchases. It is not linked to your real identity.
- IP address. Used to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
- Payment information. Processed directly by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and a payment reference, but we never see or store your card details.
- Basic analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel) that count page views and traffic sources without tracking cookies or selling your data.
2. How We Use It
- To generate and deliver your AI responses and purchased brief.
- To process payments and unlock purchased features.
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the Service.
3. Service Providers
We share data only as needed with the providers that run the Service:
- Anthropic — processes your submitted idea to generate AI output.
- Stripe — processes payments.
- Supabase — database for submissions and unlock records.
- Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data Retention
Submitted ideas are automatically deleted after 30 days. Public verdict pages (see below) are automatically deleted after 90 days. Purchase records (a payment reference and idea identifier) are kept as needed for accounting and to honor your access.
5. Public Verdict Pages
When you generate a verdict, we may create a shareable public page for it (a regretlater.com/case/… link) containing the idea text you submitted, the verdict, and the free-tier arguments. These pages:
- are reachable by anyone who has the link — the link uses a long random identifier and is only distributed if you share it, but treat anything you submit as potentially public;
- are marked “noindex” to keep them out of search engines;
- never include paid content (extra arguments, closing statement, or the PDF brief);
- are automatically deleted after 90 days; and
- are not created at all when our automated checks detect personal information (such as emails, phone numbers, or addresses) or clearly abusive content in the idea.
To have a verdict page removed before it expires, email contact@regretlater.com with the link and we’ll take it down.
6. Local Storage
We use your browser’s local storage (not advertising cookies) to keep your session ID and remember which briefs you’ve unlocked. Clearing it will sign you out of any unlocked content on that device.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/EEA or California), you may have rights to access or delete your information. Because we collect so little and don’t tie it to your identity, email us at contact@regretlater.com with your session ID or payment reference and we’ll help.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
